Fall time at the farm

Anni, K, and I had a really nice trip to see dad this fall on the farm in North Battleford, Saskatchewan.  This is the farm where I grew up as a young boy.
Since dad is retiring this year from farming, my step sister Sharman and her husband Stewart have bought the farm and will be making their home here indefinitely. It has been a really positive environment for everyone with Stewart and Sharman making many needed improvements, from building maintenance, to a much needed improvement to the water system on the farm. The old farm house which I grew up in will remain intact as per Stewart's wishes since there is a lot of history there so that is really great for our family. Dad will remain a part of the farming operations as an extra hand so it's fantastic for him and Kathy to have a place to still call home on the farm plus a great benefit for Kurt's family as well as ours to have a place to spend time with our kids, as they love the animals and space to run and play.
I'll give some introductions with the pictures as you scroll through so you can meet my family from the Heidel side. Enjoy!

Uncle Stewart and auntie Sharman putting in a gate through the wind fence. This fence will stop the strong westerly winds from whipping through the yard and give the horses some reprieve this winter.

Brynn chasing uncle Kim with cherry tomato bombs!

Uncle Kurt barely smiling after an unruly tomato bombing from uncle Kim.

Rowan and Brynn ready to dodge incoming tomato bombs from uncle Kim. The kids loved picking and eating the veggies right out of the garden.

Silly face picture. Grandpa and Anni didn't seem to partake?. Anni thought it was a serious photo. :)

Dad (Kim) back to his roots and proud to have his daughter there to share in the farming experience.

Little farmer Anni and Issi (Estonian for dad).

Anni and the caterpillars.

Looks like this one got away on her!

Anni loved the horses. Scout loved the affection!

Grandpa all smiles at harvest time. The combine (harvester) is the machine that separates the grain from the plants.

Another 3 generations photo. Anni was pretty focused on Grandpa.
